"We are not all the same?"But I think people need to stop and think before they approach you, about the way they speak to you, because this has a big effect on all concerned. It's emotional enough being in hospital, so you don't want some staff coming to see you with a attitude, you want respect, well so do I. But otherwise there's always room for improvement. (Bring back the matron).
Caring nurses - great doctors.
When questions asked about medication and health the nurses answer honestly. But as to cleaness, when patient vomits, they take time to clean soiled area, and don't attend to patient quickly but the nurses take their time, and patient is left alone to deal with the weakness and to clean themselves up, without any help.
Support should be offered to patients in such weakness situations and attend to immediately.
The majority of staff were very attentive and a credit to their profession.
One area of improvement would be acclimating patient to their environment, eg where light are or the alarm to contact staff.
Nurses/HCA'S always on hand.
* Very friendly staff and doctors.
* Smiley faces.
Everybody was very caring and explained the procedure over and over again while reassuring me that things will be okay as I was a bit worried about the procedure. The outcome was discussed immediately and explained extremely well.
